The Company was started when Albert Alexander Hyde established his new partnership called YUCCA after the crash of the Real Estate market, in Wichita, KS.

In 1894, they introduced the ointment, and it was a hit. In 1903, Mr. Hyde opened a second location in Buffalo, NY. This poster comes from Buffalo, early 1900s. In 1906, the YUCCA partnership officially became Mentholatum company.

More recently, they expanded into the Japanese market. It was then purchased by Rohto in 1988. Today, their gross revenue runs in the 30s of Billions of Dollars.
