This is the rare English version of the poster. “Maintaining a Fine Tradition.”
Soaring high above the viewer on the top left of this poster is an early-model Constellation. These type of Planes became known after WWII as a fast civilian airline.
On the vessel, you’ll notice decorative details reminiscent of a glorious colonial Battleship exploring the new world. The Red Lion image is actually known as the Dutch Republic Lion, and acts as a sacred symbol of the Dutch Empire.
This is a Mid Century advertising poster for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
