This poster was published one year after the establishment of the SNCF Railway (Societie National de Chemin de Fer Francaise) in 1938. SNCF was a state-owned Railway that combined all the privately owned companies.
Pictured are 2 scenes meant to advertise Travel to 2 destinations. On the bottom is Lac D’Annecy. A French boat drifting thru the water with a gorgeous Alps (Mount Blanc) view in the rear. On the top is De Mi Veryrier, including a Hotel with rooftop access with a Cable Car attached.
On the top, this poster boasts ‘7 minutes from the top to bottom’.
In the center (wavy text) ‘The most unique panorama in the world’ at 1300 meters (4,265 feet).
