This is a French Belle Epoque period travel poster from the 1900’s for San Salvador. It is a stunning and magnificently detailed travel poster featuring the scenic water, and shoreline of San Salvador, and a perfect embodiment of the feeling of an afternoon excursion. It features a scene of an elegantly dressed woman wearing a hat and carrying her parasol, walking with her young son who is carrying a huge bouquet of wild flowers. This poster was designed by Lessieux and perfectly demonstrates the naturally influenced, beautifully colored scenes of the French Art Nouveau period travel posters.
This original lithographic travel advertisement was created by Ernest-Louis Lessieux and printed by the Hugo D’alesi studio in the 1900s for P.L.M.
