Out of stock
This poster is the Bobino Music Hall’s advertising poster for Josephine Baker’s to-be last show ever. It was the 50th anniversary of Baker’s time in show business. She was found 4 days later in her bed, lying peacefully, surrounded by newspaper articles (specifically reviewing her performance), dead. It was later announced that she had a cerebral hemorrhage.
It was finance by Prince Rainier (Monaco), Princess Grace, and Jacqueline Kennedy-Onassis.
The top celebrities of the time attended the performance, and it was so full that folding chairs were used to add more seating in the far back.
