French Vintage Poster for Novel ‘Le Lys Noir’ Serialized in ‘Le Matin’ 1900s

Novel called ‘The Black Lily’.
This was an advertisement for a serialized novel ‘Le Lys Noir’ (the black lily) that was released daily over a duration of 6 days. The author is Jules de Castyne.
In the Belle Epoque era, published books were very expensive, as they were hand-bound. Most of the public could not afford to purchase them. To capitalize on this fact, Newspapers (like Le Matin) would serialize a book, showing a few pages a day in the magazine.
