Les Poissons Volants: “The Flying Fish”.
In the 1960s, ‘revolutionary boats’ were introduced that were much faster than traditional boats with speeds up to 70km/hour, or 44mph. The Navite Company started with service on July 20th, 1962.
Pictured is a Ferry speeding along the shoreline. You’ll see different destinations represented by the six flags soaring in the wind. The stops include Cannes, Juan Les Pins, Nice, Monaco, Menton, & San Remo.
Service ran from June to September, and the company seized operation in the 1970s.
