This is a modern period, New Wave style French travel poster for Burgundy, France, created by the prolific French poster artist Bernard Villemot. Along the top of the image it says, “Burgundy a Tradition of Progress” and below “Burgundy Regional Council.” There is a train speeding through the country side, which is created by a set of bold blocks of yellows, oranges, browns and greens formulated with dynamic yet simple lines and set against a bright blue sky. Within the foreground there are boldly patterned geometric blocks extending vertically along both sides of the image, framing the train and countryside in the center.
This modern period French poster was printed by Champigny s/m., 1984.
