Italian Art Deco Travel Vintage Poster to the Spa ‘Risanatevi! (Cure Yourself)’ in Genoa

SOLD

Out of stock

This Risanatevi poster (or ‘cure yourself’) was an advertisement for a ladies spa named Colonia Arnaldi, founded in 1906 in the town of Genova. In designing the poster Leonetto Cappiello used flowers and blossoms to represent health and youth. Shown is two women feeling rejuvenated, yet relaxed in the garden, while on the far right, a third is peacefully reading a book. The spa created a beauty line of creams and tonics. The beautiful lushes of golden tree lies in the foreground of blue skies and lush green grass. The trunks of the trees are represented with sharp red/orange colors, with the title font in dark burgundy.
