French Vintage Mid-Century Sponge Poster for ‘Spontex’ by Rene Ravo, 1960
SOLD
Out of stock
A wonderfully playful French Mid-Century Modern period lithograph advertising the Spontex sponge, a large yellow sponge used to wash cars. This bold and brightly colored vintage poster was designed by a prolific advertising designer and lithographer, Rene Ravo. Surrounding the image it says, “For heavy cleaning Spontex sponge. Healthy, convenient, economical.” This is a rare and unique mid century poster that is almost an homage to the Art Deco period advertisements.
This vintage lithographic advertisement was printed by Synergie, Paris 1960.
