This Swiss Mid-Century Modern period advertising poster was created by Herbert Leupin, a Swiss artist considered to exemplify the Modern Swiss period. Globus is a stylish, high-end department store, and is currently the largest retailer in Switzerland.
The poster features a playful design; a black poster on top of the poster. This piece also exhibits some of the best examples of bold block colors and lines in his works; his influences can still be seen in graphic design today.
This vintage lithographic advertisement was printed by Orell Fussil AG, Zurich 1948.
