Edward Bella in 1895 held an exhibition of his collection at the Royal Aquarium in London where Lait Pur Sterilise (the original French Version) was featured. It was noted in the catalog that copyright for this poster was for sale. The Nestle Corporation purchased the right to use this image in England.
In 1898, the Nestle corporation used this image (in a smaller size and with different text) as a giveaway advertisement for the introduction of The Poster Magazine’s Christmas issue.
This extremely rare poster was printed by the Waterloo & Sons Company.
