This is a French Modern period New Wave style advertising poster for a central heating system, designed by JM Fonteneau (Jean-Marie). This stunning image shows a simple yet elegantly outlined face of a woman dreaming of warmth, with her long flowing hair serving as the focal point of this New Wave style poster. Jean-Marie Fonteneau uses her hair to create a psychedelically inspired image that features a bizarre and eye-grabbing combination of long curling strands of pinks, oranges, and reds, intertwined with blue and green colored plants and birds, pink and blue flowers, an orange-yellow sun, and small half-flame women dancing out of the middle. On the top right of the poster are two lines of text, one orange, the other pink, saying “dream heat, hot reality.”
A thick green banner with bold block yellow typography for Zaegel Held perfectly contrasts with the energetic movement of the image to create a spectacularly cohesive and beautiful piece.
